My wife has friends that like to knit. She has friends that like Alpacas. She likes pretty much anything fuzzy and warm even if it smells like hay. A friend pointed out that the San Diego Yarn Crawl was coming up and included tours of a couple local Alpaca ranches nearby so she scheduled a girls weekend to visit the Alpacas.

I crashed the weekend… or at least the Alpaca part.

Alpacas of San Diego

We visited 2 ranches, but really, the only one that was interesting (photographically anyway) was Alpacas of San Diego. I made some barn yard portraits of the different Alpacas that would come close to me.

This young lady isn’t as mean as she looks, but with her ears laid back and the multicolored hair, I feel slightly judged.

Yeah, I’m being judged, or maybe it is just the haircut. Even with her ears up, that is a sinister look.
